Menuka Khan Of RPP Been Elected As Deputy Speaker Of Lumbini

Jan 17, Kathmandu- Menuka Khan KC of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of Lumbini Province. She is an RPP MP representing Gulmi.

Congress' Bishwa Prem Pathak and Civil Liberation Party's Nirmala Devi Tharu withdrew their nominations for the post of Deputy Speaker, and the ruling party's nominees were elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker. Tularam Ghartimagar of the CPN-Maoist Center was unopposed as Speaker on Monday.

In the state assembly meeting held on Tuesday, senior member Dilliraj Bhusal announced that he was elected unopposed after the nomination of one person for the speaker and deputy speaker. According to the division of the power coalition in Lumbini province, after the UML got the Chief Minister, the Speaker fell to the Maoist side.
