Within Six Months 12.5 Crore Rupees Food Items Has Been Exported 

Jan 30, Kathmandu: During the 6 months of the current financial year, beaten rice worth more than 12.5 crores has been exported. According to the statistics of the customs department, 3 lahks 13 thousand kg of chiura was exported from July to the end of December, worth 126 million 43 thousand rupees.

Last year, Nepal exported 5 lahks 83 thousand 326 kg worth Rs 20 crore 61 lakh 60 thousand. Similarly, Nepal exported 687,672 kg worth 22 million 158 thousand rupees in FY 2021/22 AD and 1 lakh 6 thousand 928 kg of Chiura worth 3 million 544 thousand rupees in FY 2020/21.

During the period of 6 months, Nepal has exported more than 12 crores. It has exported 1 lakh 36 thousand 852 kg worth Rs 6 crore 85 lakh 98 thousand to America and 89 thousand 235 kg worth Rs 3 crore 25 lahks to Australia.


Similarly, 24 thousand 374 kg worth Rs 95 lakh 20 thousand to Italy, 9 thousand 47 kg worth Rs 54 lakh 72 thousand to Japan, 10 thousand 408 kg worth Rs 35 lakh 71 thousand to Belgium, 17 thousand 643 kg worth Rs 31 lakh 67 thousand to Britain.

Similarly, 12 lakh 96 thousand rupees 16 thousand 90 kg in India, 3 thousand 250 kg of 7 lakh 81 thousand rupees in Canada, 2 thousand 206 kg of 4 lakh 79 thousand rupees in Hong Kong, 1 thousand 980 kg of 3 lakh 49 thousand rupees in South Korea and 3 lahks in Malaysia It has exported 1 lakh 989 kg of Chiura worth 6 thousand rupees.

Similarly, Nepal has imported 1 lakh 4 thousand 558 kg of chiura worth 44 lakh 22 thousand rupees in a period of 6 months. Also, last year, Nepal imported 147 thousand 243 kg of 61 lakh 59 thousand rupees, according to the statistics of the department.
