Double-Digit Decline In NEPSE Index

Jan 31, Kathmandu:  NEPSE index, which measures stock turnover in the securities market, has fallen by double digits today (Tuesday). According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index fell by 15.70 points to 2,111.68.

Similarly, the sensitive index, which measures the share turnover of large companies, has gone down by 2.36 points and reached 400.62. Out of the total 13 sub-groups traded, the share price of the hydropower sub-group has increased today, while the share price of the other 12 sub-groups has decreased.

A total of 75 lakh 53 thousand two hundred and 35 shares were bought and sold at the price of two billion 82 crores 45 lakh 40 thousand four hundred six rupees. After today's transaction, the market capitalization is equal to Rs.

According to NEPSE, Reddy Power Company is in the top position in terms of turnover. The turnover of that company was Rs. 19 million 2 million 54 thousand 587. Similarly, Lumbini General Insurance is Rs 143733000, Gurans Life Insurance is Rs 767720388, NIC Asia Bank is Rs 71083403, and Suryojyoti Life Insurance is Rs 6713500. It has managed to enter the top five with a turnover of 1,356 thousand.

According to NEPSE, the share price of Adarsh Lagufinance has increased by 10 percent and there is a positive circuit. Warahi Hydropower 7.37, Lumbini General Insurance 6.20, Eastern Hydropower 5.86, and People's Power Company investors have earned 4.63 percent.

Similarly, investors of Prime Life Insurance 5.21, Manakamana Smart Microfinance 4.97, Ganapati Microfinance 4.46, Sagarmatha Insurance 4.30, and Nerude Microfinance lost 4.09 percent.
