Jan 31, Kathmandu:  Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) 7 central members have requested the resignation of the president Chatur Bahadur Chand in writing. A few days ago, they held a press conference and demanded the resignation of 5 officials of the performance committee, including the chairman, and they demanded their resignation in writing on Tuesday.

In the working committee meeting that started on Tuesday in Pokhara, they submitted a letter to Chairman Chand asking for his resignation. The central members who demanded Chand's resignation are Rishi Ram Gautam, Dawood Ansari, Karan Mahatara Chhetri, Sanjay Raj Singh, Amitvir Pandey, Chumbi Lama and Dharmaraj Giri.

They have asked for the resignation of the president saying that they made a mistake by giving the responsibility of Nepal T20 League to Seven Three Star Sports of India. There was spot-fixing in the games under that league. The police are investigating this.
