ANFA Bids SAFF U-20 National WomnenTeam Farewell

Jan 31, Kathmandu: The Nepali team that will participate in the SAFF U-20 Women's Football Championship, which will be held in Bangladesh from February 3 to 9, has bid farewell. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) bid farewell to the players during the program held at Satdovato on Tuesday.

Nepal, India, and Bhutan will participate in the championship along with host Bangladesh. Aiming to win the championship title, Nepal will play its first match against host Bangladesh on the 3rd. Nepal will play the second match against Bhutan on the 5th and the final match against India on the 7th. The final match between the top two teams on the league stage will be held on the 9th.

Yam Bahadur Gurung is the coach of the Nepalese team. Kavita BK, Savitri Kisan, and Leela Joshi are among the goalkeepers of the Nepali team under the captaincy of Preeti Rai. The defenders are Savina Chaudhary, Sajni Thokar, Saru Hamal, Sunita Bholan, Divya Yesmalai Magar, Pratishka Chaudhary, and Kumari Tamang.

Similarly, along with Captain Rai, there are Tulsa Bohra, Kusum Khatiwada, Sarah Bajracharya, Sunkala Rai, Manmaya Damai, Anjali Machamsi, Saraswati Hamal, and Deepa Shahi in the midfielders. The strikers are Garima Rai, Amisa Karki, Mamta Pun and Anjali Chand.

Acting President and Senior Vice President of ANFA Bir Bahadur Khadka, Vice President Biratjung Shahi, General Secretary Kiran Rai, and others bid farewell to the team. The Nepali women's team will leave for Bangladesh on Wednesday.
