Kathmandu District-Wide Sports Week Will Be Held From February 1 

Jan 31, Kathmandu: Kathmandu district-wide sports week will be held in conjunction with National Pabson Kathmandu District and National Pabson Kathmandu Mahanagar Committee.

National Pabson Kathmandu held a press conference on Tuesday to inform about the sports week. It is said that about 60 schools across the Kathmandu district will participate in the sports week. The program includes a march pass, basketball, table tennis, and tug of war.

It is said that the program will be inaugurated by the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supply Damodar Bhandari on  February 1 in Tundikhel. Along with the opening ceremony, a march pass game will be held in Tundikhel on February 1.

Similarly, basketball will be held on  February 2 at Manaslu World College Chuchchepati, a table tennis tournament will be held at Universal Secondary School Dhumbrahi on February 3 to  4, tug of war (rope pulling) game will be held at Kathmandu School of Center State Kalimati on February 5. Bhishma Panda, president of National Pabson Kathmandu informed that the competition was organized because sports play an important role in the overall development of students.

It is said that all the games will be played according to the rules of the official organization. It is said that there is an arrangement for medals and certificates, shields and trophies for participating in the game and finishing first, second, and third.
