Police Refuse To Register Complaint Against Rabi Lamichhane Over Passport Case

Jan 31, Kathmandu: The police refused to register the complaint against Rashtriya Swatantra Party chairman (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane.

According to sources, advocate Yuvraj Paudel ‘Safal’ reached out to Kathmandu Police Office on Tuesday requesting the police to file a case against former Home Minister Lamichhane on allegations of presenting fraud documents to receive a passport.

However, the police refused to file the case citing that the full text of the Supreme Court’s verdict on Lamichhane’s citizenship dispute has not been made public yet. Safal also tried to lodge a complaint against Lamichhane at the Department of Immigration seeking the latter’s action against Lamichhane for submitting fake information and false documents to get a passport.
