Feb 8, Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel and USAID head Samantha Power have held a meeting.

Chief Samantha reached the Ministry of Finance at Singha Darbar on Wednesday and met the Finance Minister. During the meeting, she stressed Nepal's economy, the expansion of relations between Nepal and America, as well as the implementation of the American Cooperation Project (MCC). Earlier on Tuesday, she also had a meeting with Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal.

She arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning on a two-day visit to Nepal. She is scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday and return home today. Before returning home, he is scheduled to hold a press conference at 5 pm today. Samantha visited Nepal less than a week after Victoria Nuland, the US State Department's deputy minister for political affairs, returned from her visit to Nepal. She is also a member of the National Security Council of the United States and is also a high-ranking official of the United States Cabinet.
