Feb 9, Kathmandu: Ambassador of the European Union to Nepal Nona Deprez met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Rajendra Lingden.

On Thursday, she reached the Ministry of Energy at Singhdarwar and held a meeting with Minister Lingden. During the meeting, the energy development of Nepal and the work to be done in the future were discussed.

Ambassador Deprez said that the European Union will support the development of Nepal including energy. In the meeting, Minister Lingden informed that there will be a trade agreement with Bangladesh for the export of electricity and said that he has prioritized electricity generation, transmission, and marketing.
