Feb 13, Kathmandu- The Foreign Secretary level meeting between Nepal and India has ended. In a meeting held at Hotel Yak and Yeti on Monday, the Indian Embassy said on Twitter that it was agreed to further strengthen the economic and development partnership for the benefit of the two countries and the region as a whole.
Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal and Indian counterpart Vinay Mohan Kwatra led the delegations of Nepal and India respectively. Indian Foreign Secretary Kwatra arrived in Kathmandu on Monday morning during a two-day official visit. He came on an Indian Airlines flight.
Along with Kwatra, officials including Anurag Srivaswa, Joint Secretary of Nepal and Bhutan Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India have also come. Officials including Ram Prasad Subedi, Head of the South Asia Division of Foreign Affairs participated in the meeting.
Kwatra met President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Foreign Minister Dr. Vimala Rai Paudyal, Deputy Prime Minister and Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Rajendra Lingden have been scheduled to meet.
Foreign Secretary Kwatra has come to extend a formal invitation to Prime Minister Prachanda for his official visit to India and discuss bilateral issues.
