MP Bhandari's Health Condition Update: Doctors Claim That He Is Out Of Danger

Feb 18, Kathmandu- Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, Chandra Bhandari, who is being treated in Mumbai, India, is out of danger, the doctors have said. Doctors have said that there has been a significant improvement in his health and there is a possibility that his own skin can grow on the burnt parts of his face and hands.  Because of this, the doctors say that there is no need to do another surgery immediately. MP Bhandari, who was injured in a fire caused by a gas leak, is being treated at the National Burns Center in Mumbai, India.

According to Congress leader Yograj Kandel, who is in the hospital premises, after the mid-day counseling on Saturday, the team of doctors including Dr. Sunil Keswani said that Bhandari is now out of danger. From Saturday, Bhandari is getting ready to be fed through a tube. On Friday afternoon, Bhandari underwent surgery on both legs.

Bhandari and his mother were burnt and injured when a gas cylinder exploded at their house in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu at 10:30 pm on Wednesday. They were taken to Kirtipur hospital on Wednesday night.

The 86-year-old mother of MP Bhandari, Harikala Bhandari, died on Thursday morning during treatment at Kirtipur Hospital. MP Bhandari was taken to Mumbai for treatment on a chartered flight of Shree Airlines on Thursday afternoon.
