Prohibited Zone Declared In Koshi Capital

 

Mar 18, Kathmandu: District Administration Office Morang has declared some places of the district as prohibited areas.

After the renaming of Koshi province, protests, sit-ins, and processions started by the dissenting parties, and the administration declared the area a restricted area, saying that it would affect security.

The administration has designated prohibited areas from Devkota Chowk to Paschim Koshi Hospital in the East of the State Assembly, from Chief Minister and Council of Ministers Office Road Shesha Chowk to Dakshin Jatuwa Chowk, around 300 meters around the Chief Minister's residence and from Danfe Chowk to the East of the District Administration Office Morang.

In order to keep the security situation comfortable and normal, according to the decision of the District Security Committee, Morang, from 6 am on March 5th, until further orders, any kind of meeting, procession, gathering, rally, sit-in, etc.

According to the District Administration Office, it is prohibited as per section 6 (3 a) of the Local Administration Act(1972 AD). In the notice, the administration has mentioned that action will be taken according to the prevailing law if it is found to have violated this order.
