Mar 23, Kathmandu- The election of Independent Student Union (ISU) in the Institute of Forestry Studies Pokhara will be held on Sunday, Chaitra 12th.

It was agreed to hold the election after the lock on the election committee was opened.

On March 9th, Nepali Student Union (NSU) close to Nepali Congress and Akhil Revolutionary close to CPN Maoist Center locked the election office in protest against the non-publication of the list of students.

As the process of nomination registration did not start, the ISU elections could not be held on the specified date due to the lockdown.

The agenda has been made public with the agreement between the student organizations to start the election process.

Although preparations were made to hold elections in 6 campuses of Kaski individually and communally under Tribhuvan University, none of them could be held on the specified date.
