Indian Vehicle With 175 Kg Of Narcotic Drugs Seized In Dharan

Mar 23, Kathmandu- Around 175 Kg of narcotic drugs have been seized by the police in Dharan of Sunsari.

Nawaraj Malla, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dharan, informed that during the police check on Lokmarg in Ward No. 4 of Dharan, Drugs were recovered packed in 6 sacks from the Indian Scorpio.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Malla, the Indian GJ 01 SU 2461 Scorpio was found stopped at a distance of about 500 meters from the police checkpoint at around 3 o'clock in the morning on Thursday.

Although it was said that around 300 kg was recovered in the initial stage, 175 kg was found during weighing, he informed.

According to him, after seeing the police check, the driver and other vehicles may have fled and they are being searched for.

During the initial investigation by the police, ganja was brought from different places in Dhankuta to be exported to India.
