Mar 23, Kathmandu- In Dang, a two-hour dharna has been called because of the impact on the slum due to the Samrat Cement industry. As part of the announced program of the Sangharsha Samiti, a sit-in was held at the main entrance of the industry by hanging a black banner.

The locals have sat on picket under the leadership of Sangharsh Samiti coordinator Bhagwan Din Yadav.

Sher Bahadur Budha, president of Bangai Tal Committee, said that the slums are on the verge of being displaced due to the increase in dust, smoke, and noise due to the industry.

On the initiative of Lamhi municipality, a discussion on the implementation of the agreement will be held on the 11th of this year with the involvement of local, companies and related bodies.

Bhagwandin Yadav, the coordinator of the Sangharsha Committee, warned that if no agreement is reached, the indefinite strike will begin from the 12th.
