Ukraine Will Produce 4.5 Million Tons Of Food In 2023

Mar 25, Kathmandu- Ukraine has said that it will produce 45 million tons of food in 2023.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, has said that this year, Ukraine aims to produce 45 million tons of food and legumes.

"Ukraine will be fully provided with the necessary food this year, as in previous years", the government press service quoted Shmyhal as saying.

"Ukraine's wheat crop is estimated at 16 million 60 thousand tons this year, with domestic consumption of around 6 million tons", he said.

He said that the Ukrainian government is helping farmers to carry out the ongoing spring planting campaign smoothly.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine, last year, Ukrainian farmers produced 53.9 million tons of food grains and legumes.
