Stock Market Fell By Double-Digits On First Day

Mar 26, Kathmandu: On the first trading day of the week, the stock market has gone down on Sunday. Nepal Stock Exchange  (NEPSE) index decreased by 26.87 points.

On Sunday, the NEPSE index fell to the point of 1888.27. Similarly, the sensitive index, which measures the share turnover of large companies, decreased by 5 points to 356 points. Earlier, on the last day of last week's trading, the stock market was going down on Thursday.

On that day, the NEPSE index fell by 18.15 points and stopped at 1915.14 points. On Thursday, more than 1.41 billion rupees were traded. In the NEPSE  a total of 37 lakh 54 thousand 334 shares of 259 companies were bought and sold on Sunday, amounting to more than 1 billion 28 crore rupees.

In the NEPSE index, 19 companies have increased. 193 companies have decreased and 2 companies have remained stable. Similarly, Himalaya Distillery, which is at the top, has the highest share turnover. The turnover of the said company is more than 862 million rupees.

Similarly, NIC Asia Bank is in second place based on turnover. It has a turnover of more than 79.5 million today. On Sunday, all the sub-suggestions took place at night. Mutual funds fell the most by 4.77 percent and microfinance by 3.85 percent.

Shares of Mayakhola Hydropower Company and 10 percent of Asian Hydropower were traded on Sunday. These companies have earned the most. Similarly, Kalinchok Darshan 6 percent, Guras Life Insurance 4.26 percent, and Siddharth Equity Fund 3.90 percent were traded.
