Mar 26, Kathmandu- One person died after being crushed by a tipper near Tarebhir of Birendranagar Municipality-1 in Surkhet.

During the construction of the road from Bangeshimal to the landfill site, the tipper carrying stones overturned and the driver died.

According to District Police Office Surkhet, 32-year-old Umesh Vick, a driver of Birendra Nagar-2 Tempo Park, died when Tipper No. 1 B 2205 overturned on the side of the road.

According to the police, the tipper went out of control while sweeping stones and the driver Umesh was crushed to death.

The incident took place around 10 am on Sunday morning and the driver is injured. The police said that although a crane reached the spot to remove the body, the tipper could not be lifted.
