Mar 26, Kathmandu- In IPL 2023, teams will be able to choose their playing 11 after the toss. Earlier there was a rule that the playing 11 should be selected before the toss. However, after the toss, the players can be selected based on whether they are batting or fielding.

According to ESPNcricinfo, this is one of the significant changes in the match conditions of the IPL, which will be shared with the teams soon. The IPL, in an internal note listing various changes to the playing conditions, said the changes will allow franchisees to select their best XI based on the inclusion of suitable impact players, either for their batting or bowling.

Further, if the bowling team does not complete the over within the stipulated time, only four fielders may be placed outside the 30-yard circle for each over which is not completed.
