Mar 26, Kathmandu- Taximandu users can book a ride through Viber's new chatbot. Rakuten Viber and Taximandu have entered into an agreement with the aim of making ride booking easier. Under this, users can directly book a taxi through the Taximandu online 'taxi' chatbot on Viber.

Arjun KC, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Taximandu said that due to the partnership with Viber, taxi booking has become easier for users. He said that with the Nepali New Year, everyone wants to ensure easy access to safe and reliable taxi services. He said that users no longer need to download multiple apps for taxi rides. According to him, users will be able to book rides for short and long routes, check the actual time and status of ordered taxis, and get advance ride schedules for long routes.

Also, promo codes of up to 60 percent discount will be available for all bot users who book a ride through the Taximandu online 'taxi' bot from April to September, the company said. According to the company, users will also get a 20 percent discount when they send their contact friends and relatives to the chatbot. "We believe this partnership will make life easier for passengers and drivers," said David Che, senior director of Asia Pacific for Rakuten Viber.
