Top Leaders In Baluwatar: Agreement To Hold Talk With 10 Parties

Mar 27, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal " Prachanda" met two top leaders of the alliance.

Prachanda met with Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal at the Prime Minister's Residence Baluwatar on Monday. According to Prime Minister Prachanda's secretariat, there was a discussion between them about the expansion of the cabinet, division of ministries, etc.

Also, the secretariat said that there is an agreement to call a meeting of 10 parties to discuss the expansion of the cabinet tomorrow at 4 pm.  Congress is likely to participate in the government with 8 ministries.  CPN-Maoist Center has agreed to keep five ministries including the Prime Minister.

The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) has entered the government with three ministries. RSP has agreed to leave the position of the Ministry of Home Affairs and join the government. Even though Janata Samajwadi has been claiming three ministries, a blueprint has been prepared to give two ministries, while CPN Unified Samajwadi Party has also claimed three ministries but a blueprint has been prepared to give two ministries, sources say.

Preparations have been made to make the Democratic Socialist Party, Janmat Party, and Civil Liberties Party participate in the government with one ministry each. Aam Janata Party led by Prabhu Shah will also enter the government, while the Nepal Samajwadi Party led by Baburam Bhattarai will also enter the government. Independent MP Amresh Kumar Singh is also wanting to join the government. However, the Rashtriya Jan Morcha, a party in the ruling coalition, will not participate in the government.
