Mar 27, Kathmandu- Nepal lost to Russia in the third match of the ongoing SAFF U-17 Women's Championship football tournament in Bangladesh.

Nepal lost to Russia 3-0 in the Sunday night match in Dhaka. Nepal, who had an average performance in the first half, conceded three goals in the second half. Elena Golik scored two goals for Russia in the 63rd and 74th minutes.

Elena scored in the 83rd minute to give Russia an easy win. This is the third consecutive victory of Russia participating as a guest team. With the win, Russia scored nine points. Nepal, who suffered its second defeat in three matches, has three points.

Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Russia are participating in the tournament along with the host Bangladesh. The top team in the round-robin league will win the title. Nepal will play its fourth match against Bangladesh on Tuesday.
