Apr 3, Kathmandu: The film 'Prasad 2' has been confirmed to be released next Friday. The all-party meeting held at the Film Development Board(FDB) on Monday agreed that the film will be given censor permission. According to the source, lawyer Tarakumar Shrestha said that two decisions including censorship were made in the meeting.
After the censoring, the five organizations related to the film made up of the producers association, film association, technical association, director's association, and artist association, have agreed to deposit the money of the film into the account of one of the organizations. Accordingly, on the basis of priority, the homestay, technicians, and producers of Kaski's Luang village will be paid.
Board Chairman Bhuwan KC, all the complainants, director Sudarshan Thapa and representatives of the Film Association participated in the meeting. Police were also stationed outside the board while the meeting was going on. The police are looking for producer Thapa after an arrest warrant was issued in the case of financial transactions and banking offenses.
Complaints were filed against Thapa for the transactions of all organizations including the board. As the day of release approached, the board called a meeting with the complainant to discuss the matter.
