Good Practices Between Municipalities of Gorkha Will Be Exchanged While 10-Point Joint Declaration Issued

 

Apr 7, Kathmandu:  Good practices have been shared and interacted with between the 4 municipalities of Gorkha. Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality has organized an exchange program by keeping Gorkha Municipality, Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality, and Gandaki Rural Municipality together.

In the program, they have decided to continue to make the local government agile, transparent, well-governed, frugal, and non-discriminatory. They have also pledged to provide mutual assistance to solve mutual problems.

It has been decided to make the plans and programs implemented at the local level successful and effective and to exchange good practices to maintain uniformity in plans and programs of the same nature, to promote the religious, cultural, historical, and archaeological sites and monasteries at the local levels.

Ten points are mentioned in the manifesto to take collective initiatives to increase internal income through partnership, coordination, and cooperation to bring in internal and external tourists and to develop a common concept in the use, protection, cost estimation, and acquisition of natural resources, tools, and goods. The meeting also decided to study the potential of all four local levels and take the initiative to conduct comparative benefit industries and schemes that can be operated at the inter-local level.
