Apr 23, Kathmandu- The demolition of Barahi cinema hall in Bhaktapur, which has history, has been started.
Bahadur Tamrakar, the owner, informed that after the single-screen theaters stopped working recently, the hall has been demolished. According to the Film Association, more than 40 single-screen theaters in the country have been closed due to the Corona Pandemic.
As multiplex halls are being built rapidly and the attraction of the audience is also seen there, the single screen has started to be closed. Barahi Hall, which was built in 2065, was previously operated by others. Tamrakar took over the responsibility of the operation in 2070. There were three auditoriums in Barahi.
