Jun 08, Kathmandu- According to Census 2078, the statistics of the total population of Kavrepalanchowk district according to religion and caste have been published. The statistics show that the citizens living in the district follow eight religions. According to the statistics, there are more Hindus and less Sikhs in all trades.
Out of the total population of 364 thousand 39, there are only two people in Banepa Municipality who follow the Sikh religion. Most people who follow Hindu religion are 230 thousand 460 people. It is seen that the new religion is Bon. Second, there are those who believe in Buddhism. There are statistics that 123 thousand 371 people follow Buddhism.
The third is the number of Christians. 7 thousand 664 people follow Christianity, 681 people follow Elam, 594 people follow Kirant, 1 Hanar 256 people follow Prakriti and 11 people follow Bon religion. There is no number of Jain and Baha'i followers in the district. According to the 2068 census, there were 381 thousand 937 people, and the number of followers of every religion was high. Apart from those who follow Christianity, the percentage of those who follow other religions has decreased. In the census of the year 2078, according to the municipality, the number of people who follow religion is mentioned in each municipality.
Census 2078 showed that there are 61 caste citizens in Kavre. In the year 2068, there were 60 caste citizens. Most of them belong to the Tamang community. There are 122 thousand 930 people. In which there are 59 thousand 515 men and 63 thousand 415 women. There are more women than men. Brahmins are 73 thousand 345, Chhetri 49 thousand 415. There are 48 thousand 827 people of Newar community and 14 thousand 456 people of Magar community. Tharu 611, Bishwakarma 9402, Muslim 357, Yadav 260, Gurung 1222, Rai 238. The number of endangered fish, Pahri has increased.
There are 12 barai, 12 yakhkha and 12 people who said nothing. Deepak Koirala, head of statistics office Kavre, said that some surnames were added in 2078 and some new ones were added and some old castes were blank after counting from one surname in 2058 and 2068.
