Foreign Minister Saud met Bal Krishna Khand And Talked For Half An Hour

Jun 23, Kathmandu- Foreign Minister N.P. Saud has met former Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand, who is in jail in the fake refugee case.

Foreign Minister NP Saud, who is also a Congress leader, reached the Central Jail (Sundhara) on Thursday to meet Khan. Along with him, Congress joint general ministers Bhishmaraj Angdembe and Mahendra Yadav and state minister Dilli Chaudhary also reached the central jail.

According to the Central Jail Administration, Foreign Minister Saud and Khand, who arrived at 10 am on Thursday, had a conversation for more than half an hour.

According to prison sources, there was a discussion on contemporary politics, internal politics of Congress and other topics during the meeting.

Khand and Saud have had a deep relationship since they were presidents of Nepal Student Union (NSU), a sister organization of the Congress. Khand was the President of the People's Movement of 2046. Saud was elected president from the convention held by Khand.

Khan later became the president of Tarun Dal in 2062/063. However, Saud did not do politics in Tarun Dal.

Khan, a confidant of the current chairman of the Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, is considered a powerful leader with an organization within the Saud party. In the 14th session of the Congress, Saud is the second and Khan the third most elected leader among open central members.

In the case of fake refugees, the District Court of Kathmandu ordered that 16 people, including Khand, be sent to prison for pre-trial detention.
