Jul 06, Kathmandu- Koshi province chief Parshuram Khapung has appointed Congress leader Uddhav Thapa as the chief minister.

Provincial Chief Khapung has appointed him as the Chief Minister in accordance with Article 168 of the Constitution (2).

In the 93-member provincial assembly, 29 of the coalition party Congress, 13 including the speaker of the Maoist center, 4 of the CPN (Unified Socialist Party), and 47 of the Janata Samajwadi Party had the support of the majority of the 47 provincial parliamentarians.
