Movie 'Ek Bhagwat Ra Ek Gita' Passed The Censor

Sep 12, Kathmandu- The film 'Ek Bhagwat Ra Ek Gita' has passed the censor. The film, which caused controversy by various organizations regarding the name, was passed for screening by the Film Censor Board on Tuesday morning. The Censor Board has given the film a 'Universal' certificate and made it open to everyone.

Rishiraj Acharya, a member of the Censor Board, said that the film was passed without any cuts as there were no controversial scenes in the film. The controversy over the name of the film has been settled. We did not see any other dispute, said Acharya.

The film's censor process was stuck a few days ago after various Hindu religious organizations protested about the name of the film. In coordination with the Film Development Board, religious organizations and filmmakers resolved the film dispute through negotiations.

Jharna Thapa has directed the film which is going to be released on 29th of Bhadra i.e. next Friday. Vipin Karki, Suhana Thapa, Dheeraj Magar and others are acting in the movie.
