Five Arrested With Illegal Drugs From Different Places

Sep 17, Kathmandu- Police have arrested five people from different places in the country with illegal drugs.

The police arrested one person from Sunmai, Jhapa Buddhashanti rural municipality-7, with 2 grams of illegal drug brown sugar.

According to the police, 28-year-old Ashish Rai, who lives in the same place, was arrested. Police arrested Rai yesterday (Saturday) evening.

As soon as the news was received that drug dealing was going on, the area police station from Wednesday searched Rai's room and arrested him with the substance.

Similarly, the police have arrested one person from Parsa as well. According to the police, 147 pcs of Diazepam, 147 pcs of Nurfin and 147 pcs of Promethazine were arrested along with illegal drugs from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-2 Idgah Chowk in the district.

50-year-old Pradip Bohra Chhetri, a resident of Bara Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan City-2, was arrested by the police last night.

Based on special information, the police stationed from District Police Office Parsa, who was coming from India to Nepal on foot, arrested him with the drug.

Similarly, 30-year-old Rajendra Ram, who lives in the same place, was arrested on Saturday afternoon with 1,175 ampoules of Promethazine, 1,175 ampoules of diazepam, and 1,175 ampoules of buprenorphine from the road at Balanbihul Rural Municipality-1 Malhaniyan Skultoll in Saptari.

Based on special information, the police stationed from Madhesh Police Office Janakpur and area Police Office Kadarbona, while checking car number 1 H 3686, found the driver Ram with the drug and arrested him.

In addition, the police also detained 1 more person whose involvement was revealed during the investigation. The police are conducting necessary investigations in relation to all the incidents.
