Gairigaon murder case: One more arrested

Sep 17, Kathmandu- One more person has been arrested in the incident of the murder of four people in Gairigaon, Tinkune, Kathmandu on Friday night.

The police arrested a young man seen in the CCTV footage from Lokantali on Sunday morning. According to sources, he was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder. At 11:55 on Friday night, four people were found dead after being hit with a sharp weapon on a wooden tower in Divya Shah Mill located in Tinkune, Kathmandu Metropolitan City. After receiving the information, a police team was deployed.

Police initially did not find any weapons while investigating the incident. A police source informed that the weapon was found on Saturday. The sharp weapon used in the incident has been recovered by police.

55-year-old Kumar Bhujel, who is from Dolakha and was working as a guard in the mill, his 50-year-old wife, Ambika Bhujel, Kumar's 76-year-old mother Shubhadra Bhujel, and 25-year-old Nabin Rai, from Morang Belbari was killed in the said mill.

The police officer involved in the investigation said that it was seen that their head and other parts of the body were hit by weapons. He hit many places on the body causing injuries. The preliminary analysis of the police is that this incident may have been done by only one person.
