Congress Discussing The School Education Bill

Sep 26, Kathmandu- The Nepali Congress is discussing Bill, 2080 to amend and unify the school education laws with party MPs, educationists and stakeholders on Tuesday. After teachers and other stakeholders from all over the country protested against the provisions of the bill registered by the government in the parliament, the Congress is going to call everyone to discuss the bill.

The discussion program organized by the Parliamentary Party Office will be held at the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament Building in Baneshwar on Tuesday from 1 pm. Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba along with party officials, members of the House of Representatives, and the National Assembly will participate in the discussion.

In the discussion program to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Congress, together with experts, stakeholders Nepal Teachers Federation, Nepal Teachers Association, Relief Teachers Committee, Child Development Teachers Committee, Pabson, N Pabson, Higher Education and Secondary School Association, Community School Management Committee Federation, Technical Teachers Association and Permanent Teacher Rights Forum will discuss with the representatives of the organizations. Likewise, the Rural Municipality Federation and the Municipal Federation have also been invited to the discussion.

In Tuesday's discussion, Chief Whip Ramesh Akhtar is scheduled to introduce the topic and then listen to the views of the stakeholders.

The chief whip author said that academicians, experts, party MPs and leaders, and other enlightened people who are interested in the Bill have also been invited to the program.

From the meeting of the central working committee of the party held on Monday, the Congress decided that the party will take the initiative to make the education bill as universally acceptable as possible and will participate in the discussion by registering the amendment proposals accordingly.
