Changes In Indian Squad Announced For Cricket World Cup 2023

Sep 30, Kathmandu- Changes have been made to the announced Indian squad for the Cricket World Cup 2023. This information was given by ICC.

All-rounder Akshar Patel was injured during the Asia Cup and could not recover in time. Now bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has been given a place in the team in his place.

The Indian team consists of Rohit Sharma (captain), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and R Ashwin are included.

The final match of this tournament, which is scheduled to start on October 5, will be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Hosts India will play their first match against Australia in Chennai on October 8.

Stadiums in 10 cities have been selected for the 46-day tournament. These stadiums are located in these 9 states: Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and West Bengal.
