Oct 01, Kathmandu- All round pressure has started to increase on the government to return the increase in the price of fuel including cooking gas.
Leaders of civil society, consumer rights activists, youth leaders, students, artists, writers, and journalists have put pressure to control inflation and withdraw the price increase. Through social media, they have drawn the attention of the government to fulfill their obligations by giving concessions to consumers in the run-up to the festival.
The prices of cooking gas, petrol, kerosene, and jet fuel have increased with effect from last night. Gas per cylinder has reached 2 thousand 110 rupees. Similarly, petrol has increased by 2 rupees per liter, diesel and kerosene by 6 rupees, and aviation fuel by 8 rupees per liter.
The increase in the prices of gas and petroleum products has already skyrocketed the prices of other daily consumables.
