Oct 01, Kathmandu- 24-year-old Raju Rai of Jantedhunga Rural Municipality-6 Diplung was arrested on Saturday night on the charge of raping a five-year-old girl. According to the police, Rai was arrested on the basis of information that he was hiding after raping a local girl around 4:30 pm on Saturday.

Police inspector Tikaram Baral, spokesperson of District Police Office Khotang, said that the girl is being treated at the district hospital in Udaipur. He was referred to the primary health center at Chisapani after he could not be treated. Baral said that information about his condition has not been received.
