Nov 05, Kathmandu- The number of injured brought to Banke district for treatment has reached 39. 38 of the wounded are being treated at Bheri Hospital Nepalgunj.
Chief District Officer of Banke, Shrawan Kumar Pokharel, on Saturday, designated the Bheri Hospital as a dedicated hospital for the treatment of the injured in the earthquake. One of the 39 people from Jajarkot and Paschim Rukum who were injured in the Friday night earthquake is being treated at Kohalpur Medical College.
Preparations have been made to bring an injured person who is being treated at Kohalpur Medical College to the dedicated hospital Bheri on Sunday. 29 people from Jajarkot and 10 people from West Rukum affected by Friday's earthquake are being treated here. The hospital has informed that there is no shortage in the treatment of the injured in Bheri and the local level has also provided human resources to the hospital.
Currently, there are 21 women and 18 men under treatment. Out of which 12 are children, 1 is pregnant and 5 are senior citizens. 5 of the injured were successfully operated on Saturday night.
