National Level Badminton Tournament Being Held In Nepalgunj

Nov 28, Kathmandu- A national-level badminton tournament is going to be organized in Nepalgunj. A national-level badminton tournament will be held in the last week of Falgun under the organization of Banke District Badminton Association.

The Banke District Badminton Association has informed that a national-level badminton tournament has been started in Nepalgunj with the aim of improving the level of badminton.

Sanjay Thapa, president of the association, informed that the best players from all over the country will participate in the competition. He said that the competition will be held in 3 events, men's doubles (open), men's doubles (B level) and veterans (45 plus).

According to President Thapa, the winner of the men's doubles (open) title in the tournament will be awarded with a cup, medal and certificate along with one lakh rupees, while the second team will get 70,000 cash prize and the third team will get 30,000 rupees, medal and certificate.

Likewise, the first, second and third teams of men's doubles B level will receive 40,000 and 30,000 respectively and 10,000 rupees and for veterans, the first, second and third teams will be awarded 50,000, 30,000 and 10,000 rupees, respectively, along with cups, certificates and medals, according to the Banke District Badminton Association.

The tournament will be held for 3 days at the Covered Hall of the Nepalgunj Stadium.
