Disbursement Of Funds For The First Installment On Temporary Housing Of Earthquake Victims

Nov 28, Kathmandu- The disbursement of funds for the first installment for the construction of temporary housing for earthquake victims in Rukum West is about to begin.

The money for the first installment is going to be sent to the fund of the Local Risk Reduction and Management Committee. The District Disaster Management Committee has decided to send the first installment of funds for the construction of temporary housing in Triveni Rural Municipality for 64 families.

Assistant Chief District Officer Pravesh Baduwal informed that according to paragraph 2 of 3 (1) of Temporary Housing Construction Subsidy Procedure-2080 (including the second amendment) to the households affected by the earthquake, it has been decided to disburse the amount. According to him, in the first installment, Rs. 25,000 per household will be sent to the fund of the Local Risk Reduction and Management Committee.

He said that the remaining amount will be sent after the construction of the temporary housing. The government has already decided to provide Rs 50,000 relief for the construction of temporary housing for those whose houses were damaged due to the earthquake.
