Girl Who Was Living In A Tent Died Due To Coldness

Nov 30, Kathmandu- A girl has died due to extreme cold weather in Kushe Rural Municipality. Raksha, the three-year-old daughter of Sunil Wadi of Kushe-1 Syagri, died on Wednesday morning due to exposure to cold.

Chairman of Kushe Rural Municipality Hari Chandra Basnet informed that the girl died in Matela in Chedagad while being taken to the hospital after she was diagnosed with pneumonia during an examination at the local health institution.

According to him, the family of the deceased girl was living under a tent after the house was damaged by the earthquake on Mangsir 17.

One hundred and fifty-three people were killed and three hundred and forty-six were injured in the 6.4 magnitude earthquake which had its epicenter at Ramidanda in Jajarkot.

It is reported that 26,557 private houses were completely damaged and 35,455 houses were partially damaged by the earthquake. It is said that the collection of damage details has reached the final stage.
