Dec 01, Kathmandu- One more child has died due to dengue infection in Tanahun. A 13-year-old boy, Iran Thapa, a resident of Byas Municipality-1, died.

A child studying at Indreni Sky Boarding School located in Byas Municipality-1 died on Wednesday during treatment at Gandaki Hospital Pokhara. Sources said that dengue infection was confirmed during the test at Damauli Hospital and after he did not recover there, he was taken to Gandaki Hospital where he died during treatment.

Even though the winter season has started in Tanahun, dengue infection has not stopped yet. So far, seven people have died due to dengue infection in the district. The health office of Tanahun has reported that 7,166 people have been infected with dengue in ten municipalities of Tanahun.

Among the most affected municipalities, Byas Municipality has 5 thousand eight hundred 22 infections. In nine other municipalities, 1,344 people are infected.
