One More Arrested In The Case Of Ticket Theft By Hacking The Travel Company's User ID

Dec 02, Kathmandu- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has arrested one more person in the case of stealing tickets from two airlines by hacking the user ID of Geoland Travels and Tours Pvt Ltd.

CIB Assistant Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Rugam Kunwar informed that Hari Prasad Subedi, 47 from Parbat who is also the owner of Marsyangdi Travels, was arrested.

He said, "Subedi has been arrested in the incident of stealing two airline tickets by hacking the user ID of Geoland Travels. An investigation is being carried out against him for fraud, criminal treachery and the offence of not taking criminal advantage".

Earlier on the 6th of Mangsir, the team of the bureau arrested Narayan Subedi, the manager of Masyangdi Travels, who was in Samakhushi. It is alleged that the accused have hacked the user ID of Geoland in Baluwatar and stolen the tickets of Jazeera and Air Arabia.

Spokesman Kunwar said that the investigation of the bureau revealed that the hackers have repeatedly stolen tickets worth 1 crore 99 lakh 82 thousand rupees. He said, "Until now, at least 337 Nepalese and foreign nationals have been found to have illegally stolen tickets".
