It is mentioned in the order that they were released on bail as they were only seen to have bought smuggled gold.
Of the smuggled gold, Lal Bahadur Tamang was found to have sold 80 tolas to Tilak BK, 85 tolas to Dipendra Raj Shakya and 90 tolas to Narayan Bahadur Shrestha.
If they are unable to pay the bail amount, the court has also ordered that they be sent to prison.
On Ashwin 10th, the police seized the gold that was about to be brought to Kathmandu via Dolakha from Nangaluk border crossing.
The District Police Office and the Central Investigation Bureau of the Police conducted a joint investigation in the gold case.
During the investigation, the police arrested 26 people. Later, after the involvement of others was not found, a case was initiated against only 14 people.
From the investigation, it was revealed that Chinese citizens Gang Ru and Norbu Tshiring used to smuggle gold through Tibet and brought it to Kathmandu using porters from Dolakha.
The gold recovered on Ashwin 10 was smuggled through Dolakha Dolakha's Falek Nangluk checkpoint on Ashwin 8.
There is a river on the border between Tibet and Dolakha. Nurbu Chhiring used to act as a porter to bring the gold that the Chinese group brought to the river bank to Nepal and put it in potato sacks and bring it to Kathmandu.
In the case of 11 kilos of gold, Nurbu had assigned Salo Pemba Tamang and Chasman Tamang to fetch the gold from the river and put it in potato sacks and bring it to Kathmandu. But a group of Keshar Tamang in Khabar village who brought gold from the river got the trick. Later, they stole a bag of potatoes containing gold from the bus.
The incident came to light after the police seized 11 kg of gold, 7 kg from Keshar Tamang's camp and 4 kg from Bari.
During the investigation, the police discovered that 22 kg of gold had been smuggled. Soon after, the gang involved in it was arrested.
It was revealed that the gold sent from China by a person named Le Goma Lama and Jia Zhu was brought to Kathmandu by Norbu using a porter and a Chinese person named Gang Ru sold it in Kathmandu.
It is stated by Gang Ru that out of the proceeds from the sale of smuggled gold before the court, he would only keep the commission and send it back to Le Goma Lama. He assigned Sanad Pradhan to arrange its arrangements.
Sanad appointed Lal Bahadur to sell the gold. Lal Bahadur had sold the smuggled gold to Tilak and Dipendra before the 11 kg gold incident.
Sanad arranged the payment of money to Goma Le through Mahima. At the request of Sanad, Mahima had made arrangements to pay her relatives abroad through dollars. Those who had a direct role in gold smuggling and benefited from it have been remanded in custody by the court.
In the same case, the District Court Dolakha has ordered the release of the arrested suspects Sunmala Tamang and Chetanath Neupane on a regular date.
It is mentioned in the order that it is not confirmed that Sunmala and Chetanath Newpan are involved in smuggling and that they have benefited from it.
