Dec 23, Kathmandu- Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been attacked by the public. Santosh Ranabhat, who is from Lamjung and living in Pokhara, attacked Lamichhane on Saturday while addressing a meeting held at Amarsingh Chowk, Pokhara. The shot he hit reached the stage.

Ranabhat was arrested by the police team of Ward Police Office Rambazar. According to Inspector Binod Shrestha of the office, Ranabhat has been arrested and has been kept at the district police office for further investigation.

Ranabhat, who went aggressive after Chairman Lamichhane talked about cooperation, threw a cob of corn on him. He is the saver at Suryadarshan Cooperative.

Jitendra Rai aka JB Rai is the owner of Suryadarshan Cooperative. Rai is absconding after being accused of misappropriating the money of the co-operative's savers. It was found that Rai opened Galaxy 4K Television by taking a loan from the cooperative and Lamichhane also took a loan from the cooperative and invested the founder's share in Galaxy.

Ranabhat also accused Lamichhane of misusing the cooperative's money.
