Jan 11, Kathmandu- Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Department has decided to remove Jyoti Pandey, a secondary teacher of Pashupati Mitra Secondary School located in Ward No. 7 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
It was decided to remove him from the service after he did not attend school since last May. Pandey was appointed by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City in ward no. 16 has been transferred from Shree Tarun Secondary School, Balaju to Shree Pashupati Mitra Secondary School, Chavhil and the transferred school will be removed from service after it is not seen to be functioning anywhere.
In addition, the department said that the department will proceed with the removal process as per section 16 (e) sub-section (5) of the Education Act, 2028, as it was found that he ignored the notice by not going to the school to which he was transferred and did not fulfill his official responsibilities, despite the fact that he was transferred to the school after publishing public notices and information. It is said in the notification, 'If you do not have to appear and remove yourself within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication of the notification, you are informed to submit the reason. Otherwise, taking this information as a basis, it is also informed about the necessary process to remove him from the job according to clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section 5 of section 16 (e) of the Education Act, 2028.
