I am happy that the dream of Madhesh Agricultural University has been fulfilled: MP Yadav

Jan 23, Kathmandu- President of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Upendra Yadav has expressed his happiness that the dream of Madhesh Agricultural University has been fulfilled for a long time. On the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the building of the university today, he expressed his belief that the manpower produced by the university will contribute to the economic prosperity of the country.

"I am very happy to lay the foundation stone of the Agricultural University building in Rajviraj today, I am confident that the skilled manpower produced by the university will modernize the agricultural sector and contribute to employment and economic prosperity", he said. He promised to help in the construction of the university building as much as he could.

Saroj Kumar Yadav, the Chief Minister of the Madhes State Government, expressed his commitment that the Agricultural University is under the Gaurav Plan of the State Government, so that there will be no shortage of funds in the construction of the building. He also instructed the university family to move forward with high spirits.

The former Chief Minister of the state Lal Babu Raut reminded that he was the Chief Minister and decided to establish the Agricultural University in Rajviraj. He claimed that despite the adverse conditions, the state government has placed it in the state pride plan, so it will be established as an exemplary university in the country.

Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Gobinda Bahadur Neupane said that the establishment of a university in Saptari of Madhes province is a matter of pride. He emphasized on the fact that the economic prosperity of the state and the country will come from agriculture, so it should be given priority.

Accordingly, Rs 39 crore has been allocated for building construction in the last financial year and Rs 30 crore in the current year. Shri Bhagwan Thakur, the registrar of the university, informed that a contract has been signed for the construction of 12 administrative, educational and laboratory buildings on 26 bigha eight katta 18 dhur land of the university.
