Important role of Nepal Police in building a child-friendly society: Deputy Chief Dangol

Feb 02, Kathmandu- Deputy Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, has said that Nepal Police has an important role in building a child-friendly society.

Nepal Police Wives Association organized today to highlight the child talent of students studying in class 9 and 10 under the community schools in Kathmandu district. In the program on 'Role of Nepal Police in Peace Security', Dangol said that the role of police in crime control is admirable.

"Such programs clarify the issue of how children are looking at the role of the police in terms of security", she said.

Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari Deepak Thapa said that the role played by Mrs. Sangh by combining social service and education is important.

She expressed her belief that how to increase the public's attraction to the police will be discussed in Vatritvakala.

Lakshmi Kunwar, president of Mrs. Sangh, expressed her happiness that the Sangh, which is active in the social sector, has done Vatritvakala for the first time.

Community schools within Kathmandu in the said Vatritvakala and 26 students studying at Nepal Police School have participated.

Smt. Sangh said that the first prize winner in the arts will be awarded Rs 10,000, the second prize winner Rs 7,000 and the third prize winner Rs 5,000 cash.
