Feb 09, Kathmandu- Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the government's investment alone will not increase economic growth.

Speaking at a program organized by the Management Association of Nepal on Friday, he said that the contribution of the private sector will be high in economic growth. He said that the government is committed to invest loans in projects that give high returns to increase economic growth.

He says that the tendency to contract without ensuring the source has caused the problem. He says that the challenge is to end such a trend.

He said that the revenue collection will be more than 10 percent by the end of the current financial year.
