On the occasion of Chinese New Year, it has been announced that the Nepali youth team will play a friendly match against China's Yushu youth team. The day before the match on Friday, the head coach Vincenzo Alberto Enes gave the responsibility of the captain to the star player Manish.
Enes, who is also the head coach of the senior team, announced the 23-member final team on Friday. Enes has announced the final team including Ayush Ghalan, Utsav Rai and Laken Limbu who have played in the senior team along with Manish.
Chetan Ghimire is the assistant coach of the team and Manish Timsina is the goalkeeper coach. The head coach of the Nepali youth team, Vincenzo Alberto Enes, has said that there is an opportunity for new players in the Nepal-China friendly football tournament to be organized on the occasion of the Chinese New Year.
In the press conference held on the eve of the tournament, coach Enes said that he focused on training rather than on the fact that the players were foreign. Similarly, the coach of Yushu Football Club said that playing with the Nepali team is an opportunity for them and the game will play an important role in cultural exchange. The Chinese team has already arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday for the friendly match. The match will start at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday at 3 PM.
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has fixed the ticket price at Rs 300 for general and Rs 500 for VIP. Similarly, ANFA has informed that Kathmandu-Lhasa Kathmandu air tickets will also be provided for two lucky spectators who purchase tickets.
A friendly match is going to be held under the joint initiative of Chinese Embassy in Nepal, National Sports Council (NSC) and Nepal Tourism Board. ANFA and Nepal Overseas Chinese Association are the co-organizers of the competition. There will be a special program at the opening ceremony before the game. Similarly, ANFA has already informed that some presentations will be included after the interval of the first half.
