Feb 11, Kathmandu- On the first day of the week, Sunday, the stock market index decreased, but the turnover increased significantly. The index has decreased by 10.5 points compared to the previous trading day. After the reduction of that number, NEPSE has remained at 2085 points. As the NEPSE index fell, the turnover exceeded 4.8 billion. The previous day, only 3 billion 21 million was traded.
While 91 companies' prices increased, 148 companies decreased while 8 remained stable. Development Bank and Hydropower Group only increased. Bikas Bank 3.77, Hydropower increased by 6 points. The manufacturing group decreased the most by 2.88 percent. Banking 9, finance 9, hotel and tourism 88, life insurance 30, manufacturing 168, microfinance 16, non-life insurance 42, business 44 and other groups decreased by 0.41 points.
Samaj Laghubitta and Kutheli Bookery Small Hydropower increased by 10 percent. The prices of Trishuli Hydropower increased by 6.7%, Dordi Hydropower by 5% and Mayakhola Hydropower by 4.9%. The price of Unilever decreased the most by 7.14 percent. The price of Gurans Laguvitta decreased by 7.13 percent, Kisan Laguvitta by 4.4 percent, and NIC Asia Bank by 4.1 percent.
Based on turnover, Himalayan Reinsurance, NRN Infrastructure, Himalayan Distillery, NIC Asia Bank and Hathaway Investment Company were ahead respectively.
