Indian Citizen Arrested With Over Rs 1 Crore Fake Currency Notes From Sunsari

Feb 12, Kathmandu-The police recovered Rs 1 crore fake currency notes from Sunsari district.

Police have detained an Indian citizen with 1 crore 82 lakh 51 thousand rupees from a Scorpio jeep that travelled to Nepal from India. The police recovered fake currency notes from the Sunsari Khola bridge in Inaruwa Municipality-4. While checking the Scorpio vehicle number BR11 X 3429, fake notes were recovered hidden in the back of the Scorpio.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Mohammad Syed of Bharat Supaul, was arrested. An investigation is being conducted as to where the Scorpio is from.
